There are so many gorgeous eyeglasses frames out there, it might be a little overwhelming to figure out which will look good on you. The first step on finding the perfect eyeglasses, is to figure out your size. Once you know what size you are looking for, you will probably want to decide on a shape. Some eyeglasses shapes (such as Rectangular or Browline shapes) suit most face types, while others (like round frames) tend to look best on specific face shape.
If you are trying to hide, balance or highlight a facial feature, eyeglasses can help!
Rectangular and square frames will usually downplay the size of your nose as will neutral colors and patterns. A fun quirky pattern might draw the eye away from the nose, as would embellishments on the temples. Browline and Horn Rim glasses are good for this.
If you want to soften sharp features, look for a frame that has rounder curves. Round and oval frames will definitely soften a face, but so can some cat eye, browline and half-rim and rimless frames.
If you want to sharpen very soft and round features, a rectangular, square or geometric shaped frame is best. Look for something with straight lines and sharper angles. Bright colours can bring emphasis to the shape of the frame.
If your face is wide, you might want to draw attention away from its width. How to do that will depend on your face shape. If your face is more square (and angular) you will want to look for round or oval glasses while a softer rounder face can be better balances by square or rectangular frames. If you have a rounder chin, a frame that is rectangular or argular that tilts up will draw attention away from your chin and towards your eyes.
If your face is too long for your preferences, you can balance it with the right shaped frame. Square frames with sharp angles are good if your features are rounder. Two-toned frames, thick rimmed frames and aviators are all great options to balance out a long face.
You've got great cheekbones and do not want to hide them! A narrow rectangular or oval frame will sit above your cheekbone and not cover them. A cat eye frame or any other slanted frame can bring even more attention. Alternately, you could choose a rimless frame and let your features speak for themselves.
You're eyebrows are on fleek and now you need to put on a pair of eyeglasses that might compete with them or take away attention. The first thing you will want is to find a frame that doesn't cover your eyebrows. You will want either a narrow rectangular or oval frame, a frame that sits lower on your face, a thin/wire rim frame, or a rimless frame. You will probably want to stay away from most half-rim frames as they will compete for attention over your brows. Neutral colors are best if you want to let them shine on their own. While the right sized cat eye can draw attention to your brows, especially if they have a similar curve.
